WOD Pro League
From WOD to Podium — Powering the online Cross Training league.
WOD Pro League is a mobile-first competition platform that turns online Cross Training into a fully managed league — categories, teams, video submissions, judged results, and live rankings. Athletes compete from anywhere; organizers run an entire season from a single console.

Steps
We started by mapping the full season lifecycle — onboarding, team formation, video submission, judging, ranking, and payouts — before drawing a single screen. Then we designed mobile-first flows around the most-used moments (recording a WOD, checking a rank), built the admin console around organizer rituals, and shipped reliable cross-platform video upload as the technical centerpiece.
Running a Real Competition Without a Gym Floor
Cross Training leagues live on judged movement, transparent scoring, and trusted standards. Doing that remotely meant solving the hardest problems at once — capturing video proof on mid-tier phones, validating it against published standards, ranking athletes across categories and regions, and processing team payments where one captain pays for many.
One App for Athletes, One Console for Organizers
We built a mobile-first competition platform paired with a web admin. Athletes register, pick a category and format, train against published WODs, record submissions in-app with background uploads, and watch their rank update once a judge approves. Organizers manage seasons, WODs, video review queues, payments, teams, and notifications from a single dashboard.
A Full Season Runs Inside the App
From October kickoff through season finals, athletes compete across RX, Intermediate, Scaled, Teens, and Masters categories — solo, in pairs, or in teams. Live rankings filter by box, region, and city. Captains pay once for an entire team. Every submission gets reviewed and scored with a full audit trail. The platform now runs the entire competition lifecycle end to end.
Inside the build

How we built it, phase by phase
We gathered season rules, judging standards, payment models, team logic, and privacy obligations before drawing wireframes. Then we designed mobile-first flows around the most-used athlete moments and an organizer console around season operations — and built reliable, resumable video upload as the platform's technical backbone.

Features
Live Competition & Categories
Athletes pick from RX, Intermediate, Scaled, Teens, and Masters and compete solo, in pairs, or in teams across a full October-to-finals season.
WOD Submission with Video Proof
In-app recording, high-quality capture, and resilient background upload mean a workout submission survives a flaky connection.
Judged Results & Audit Trail
Every score is reviewed against published movement standards, with comments, penalties, and an appeal path for transparency.
Smart Rankings
Leaderboards update once a judge approves a result, with filters by box, region, city, format, and individual WOD.
Teams, Pairs & Captain Billing
Captains create rosters, invite members, and pay once for the whole team. Member status — invited, accepted, paid — is always visible.
Diamante Progress Engine
Benchmarks turn into a personalized profile of strength, weakness, and category readiness, so athletes know exactly what to train next.
One platform, every stakeholder

Pairs & Solo Formats
Same engine handles 1-person, 2-person, and 4-person team competitions.
